How can I create a range-based salary structure for a specific payroll group?

To manage a range-based salary structure for a specific payroll group, click on Payroll Settings from the sidebar and open the Payroll Groups section.

Select the payroll group you want to configure and go to the Salary Structure tab.

In the Structure Overview, select Range Based structure type.

Under the Salary Range section, you can view all existing ranges, such as ₹0–₹50,000 or ₹50,001–₹1,00,000.

Click Add Salary Range to create a new range. For example, if you want to cover employees earning ₹1,50,001–₹2,00,000, you can add that range here.

Select any salary range to view and customize the components that apply only to employees in that range. For example, you may want to give employees earning up to ₹1,00,000 a Conveyance Allowance, while employees above ₹1,00,000 might receive a percentage-based allowance instead.

To add a new component inside any selected range, click Add Component. This allows you to include allowances, deductions, reimbursements, or contributions specifically for that salary bracket.

You can also delete a component for a selected range using the Delete Component option. For example, if a certain allowance is no longer applicable for employees earning above ₹2,00,000, you can remove it from that range.

Update the salary structure as needed so each CTC band receives the correct set of components and calculations.
