How can I manage the notice period rule for a specific leave type?

To configure leave rules for employees who are serving their notice period, open Payroll Settings and go to Leave Management → Leave Type, then select the leave you want to update.

Enable Permit leaves accrual during notice period if employees should continue earning this leave even after submitting resignation.

    

  • Example: If monthly accrual is 1 day, the employee will still receive that 1 day while in notice period.

Enable leaves availed during the notice period will further extend it by X days. By doing so, it will push the employee’s last working day forward.

    

  • Example: If this is set to 2 days and the employee takes 1 day leave during notice period, their notice period will extend by 2 days.

Enable Permit paid leaves for employees serving notice period if they should be allowed to apply for paid leaves during the notice duration.

    

  • Example: If allowed, an employee serving 30-day notice can still apply for paid leave such as casual or sick leave.
